Bordeaux is a significant wine producing area, as an appellation it produces more than the whole of Australia and there are many wines which sit outside of the classification systems that are worthy of attention. The term 'Petit Chateaux' is given to entry level Chateaux that are normally Bordeaux Superieur status and below. Most of them come from the Medoc or the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, however some are situated north of Pomerol. We believe they over deliver for the price. We do a huge tasting in Bordeaux every year to select our favourites in terms of value for money versus quality.
