A well-known southern Rhone appellation, Vinsobres is a parish that produces rich and characterful red wines, made from Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. The climate is hot and dry, and the vineyards produce high-quality grapes, thanks to the limestone soils found on the slopes dotted around the appellation. The flatter slopes are more alluvial in nature, which provides a clean, mineral note to the appellation's wines.
