A predominantly red and rose wine appellation in Languedoc-Roussillon, Corbieres covers a large area to the south of the city of Narbonne. The mainly hilly vineyard sites are home to a range of grapes, most commonly Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan and Syrah for the red wines, which are blended with Picpoul and Grenache Gris to produce the region's highly regarded rose wines.
