Ramos Pinto was established in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, and the firm developed quick success – particularly in South America. Owned by Champagne house Louis Roederer since 1990, recent investment has resulted in an upswing in quality at Ramos Pinto, and the house only works with estate-grown grapes, hand-picked from its terraced vineyards high above the Douro.
