The son of well-known Burgundy winemaker Michel Magnien, Frederic Magnien continues to prove the family’s ability to make rich and expressive wines. Working exclusively with a network of growers from Morey-St-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny who provide Magnien with his grapes, Frederic takes a genuine hands-off approach to his wines. He then bottles them unfined and unfiltered to showcase the quality of the grapes and bring texture and complexity. This is very much new-age Burgundy and offers excellent and sometimes intriguing drinking.
