TrotteVieille is a St. Émilion Grand Cru Classé B property that has been owned by Héritiers Castéja (Borie-Manoux Négociant) since the 1950s and is presided over by Philippe and his son, Frédéric, as well as Alex Marchal as consultant. Located on the limestone-clay plateau, the 33-hectare estate produces some of the most under-rated yet age-worthy wines in the appellation thanks to its plantings of old-vine Cabernet Franc (some ca. 140 yeas old!).
