Located in the Libournais appellation of Canon-Fronsac, just to the north of the city of Libourne, Chateau Moulin Pey Labrie is a perfect example of how a little intrepid exploration outside the ‘typical’ Bordeaux appellations can result in finding some exceptional wines at very good prices. This Merlot-heavy wine is consistently amongst the best in the appellation and offers rich, fruity wines, with superb early drinking structure and a beautiful character. From an organically farmed vineyard of just over seven hectares, this is one worth seeking out.
