Chateau Leoville Barton

Chateau Leoville Barton is a 48-hectare vineyard located in the east of the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. It has been owned by the Barton family along with Chateau Langoa Barton since the 1820`s.The vineyards that lie on gravelly-clay soils are planted with 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. The ebullient and charismatic Anthony Barton took over the estate in the 1980s and since then the property has been producing some of the most exciting wines in Saint-Julien.
