Chateau Lascombes
Chateau Lascombes
Chateau Lascombe`s vineyards stretch across over 84 hectares of the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. The chateau bears the name of its first owner Chevalier de Lascombes, but today is owned by the health insurance giant MACSF who have redeveloped and modernised the property. The vines grown at Lascombes are around 35 years old with the varietal distribution of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. The grapes are entirely hand-picked to avoid damage to the berries and are also destemmed by hand, providing high quality fruit for the estate`s wines.
