Chateau Laroque is located to the east of the village of Saint-Émilion up on the famous limestone plateau (St-Christophe-des-Bardes), it is one of the largest Grand Cru Classé estates with 61-hectares under vine, planted with Merlot and Cabernet with an average age of 50-years-old. There has been intensive investment in both the vineyard and winery in recent years, and the rewards are now being reaped as it receives critical acclaim from many wine critics.
