Chateau L`Arrosee
Purchased by Domaine Clarence Dillon, owners of Haut Brion, in 2013, Chateau l`Arosee is located in the St. Emilion appellation of Bordeaux. Part of the 10 hectare vineyard is planted on the sheltered slope of the limestone plateau with maximum sun exposure, whilst the other part lies at the foot of the slope where it is much hotter. Having vineyards planted on two types of soil increases the chances of growing better grapes than with just one type of terroir. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are all grown at Chateau L’Arrosee as they are well suited to the terroir. Following Dillon`s 2013 acquisition, l`Arosee was amlagamated with the neighbouring estate and renamed Chateau Quintus.
