Located on the highest part of the famous Pomerol plateau, Chateau Clinet is a highly regarded Bordeaux chateau who operate their vineyards with minimal intervention and avoid using chemicals wherever possible. The 11.27 hectares are planted with vines situated on ancient gravel and deep clay with iron deposit in the subsoil. Vineyards are planted with 90% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc. The introduction of hand-harvesting, and new winemaking techniques has elevated their position in the Bordeaux pecking order.
