Chateau Batailley
Taking its name from a battle in The Hundred Years War in 1452, Chateau Batailley is a fifth growth estate owned by Heritiers Casteja located in Pauillac in Bordeaux. With 58 hectares of gravelly soil under vine, the estate is comprised of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 40 years and the estate is well regarded for its good value and sophisticated wines of class and poise.
