Ugni Blanc is a white wine grape variety originating in the South East Mediterranean. It is a major component in Armagnac and Cognac, as these brandies benefit from Ugni Blanc‘s high acidity and neutral flavours. When made into still table wines it has characteristics of citrus fruits and almonds.It is a high-yielding grape and in Italy, as Trebbiano, it accounts for over 50% of white wine grape plantings.
