Chateau Liot
Chateau Liot
Chateau Liot is owned by Jean-Gerard David and is a 20-hectare property producing on average 5,500 cases per year. It is located in the south-west of the Barsac appellation of Bordeaux. Chateau Liot`s vineyards (Sémillon 85%, Sauvignon Blanc 10%, Muscadelle 5%) lie on a gravel/silt/alluvial topsoil and limestone subsoil. The grapes are fermented in vats and the wine is then matured in oak barrels (15% new) for 15-18 months. The sweet wines of Chateau Liot are typically fresh and refined and display marvellous purity of fruit. They have medium-term cellaring potential but are also delicious to drink in youth.
