Chateau de Sours Rose 2012
Chateau de Sours Rose 2012 is a pure and elegant rose. We tasted this back in a snowy January and it certainly made us feel Spring should soon be coming. Martin Krajewski the owner of Chateau de Sours has selected us to run this special offer giving you the opportunity to buy the new vintage of Chateau de Sours Rose at a great pre-budget price. We have also absorbed the duty rises and exchange differences and are able to offer the same prices as last year. Chateau de Sours Rose is one of our best selling rose wines and we are delighted to be able to bring you the new 2012 vintage.
The quality and purity of the fruit for the Chateau de Sours Rose 2012 vintage was outstanding. The year was one of extreme weather with the growing season getting off to a slow start and the flowering and fruit set very drawn out. However, Chateau de Sours was rewarded with wonderful summer months of weather in July and August and harvest finally began on 31st August with the first blocks of Merlot under a very early morning of chilly blue skies.
Delicate pale pink in colour, with lovely refreshing summer fruits of strawberry and raspberries. Well balanced with uplifting acidity that livens the palate and is the backbone of its refreshing, enjoyable summer fruit finish. JG tasted January 2013
"The new vintage of de Sours Rosé is a breath-taking stunner. With a hauntingly pale, elegant colour and a rose-scented aroma this is the most alluring vintage to date." Matthew Jukes, March 2013
