Critic Notes for this Wine
Jancis Robinson MW
Deep crimson. Top-quality oak on the nose. Definitely savoury, with a beginning, middle, and finish. Serious, very thick, dense wine. Brooding. Needs time. Should get there eventually. No shortage of matière. I noted some raw, green notes in the spring of 2004 and gave this wine only 16.5. It is definitely a slow developer but is looking much more convincing now. 18 points out of 20. jancisrobinson.com
