  • After 85 years, the vines at Chateau Lafite and Duhart Milon are replaced. The younger vines are used to make their 3rd wine called Pauillac Reserve along with the grapes that didn’t make it into their second wines Carruades de Lafite and Moulin de Duhart. Quoting the DBR brochure “at least 85% of the wine is used to make Reserve, their third wine. These wines offer many of the characteristics of their superiors at a fraction of the price”.
