Critic Notes for this Wine
Jose Contreras
Black cherry with a purplish edge. Quite opaque and dense. The nose is very elegant, with outstanding notes of black fruit, with very pleasant hints of dairy and balsam. The mouth is very fresh (good acidity) and fruity, with quite a long finish. The three months it has spent in the bottle since I tasted it for the first time in June have done it lots of good. A great wine which, in my opinion, will set this winery on a high pedestal in the Ribera del Duero region. 94 points

Bright ruby-red. Sappy aromas of cassis, licorice, violet and bitter chocolate. Big, rich and supersweet but youthfully clenched, even a bit musclebound. Very primary, intense flavors of dark berries and menthol supported by a firm spine of acidity. A powerfully tannic, very backward wine with impressive extract. I'd hold this at least five or six years. 90+ points
