Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)
Los Vascos is owned by the Les Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). They have put all their knowledge and investment into producing one of Chile's finest and most popular wines.
Agricultural management is based upon traditional methods using basic products for protection and organic fertilizers where needed. Irrigation is permitted in Chile and most of the vineyards use controlled flooding similar to that used in California. Los Vascos is thus well prepared to use the most effective natural method to drown phylloxera infested pests, should these ever appear. However, there are experiments on the property of both dry farming and green harvesting to ensure optimum quality. The winery is equipped with modern technology and material to ensure the most careful treatment of the healthy grapes delivered to the bodega.
