Domaine Faiveley
Since the Domaine's foundation in 1825, the Faiveley family have dedicated the major part of their resources to buying vineyards situated on the best slopes in Burgundy, France.
Francois Faiveley's son Erwan Faiveley has been running the Domaine since 2004 and as a result the quality of the wine has taken a huge leap forward. Improved vineyard management, smaller yields and better quality barrels have made a huge improvement on the quality of the wine.
Faiveley is today the largest owner of vineyards in Burgundy (approximately 115 hectares). This is split between the largest vineyard holding in Mercurey of 78 hectares and the smaller Cote d'Or holding 37 hectares. The 2009 Burgundy Vintage is the best vintage since Faiveley's acclaimed 1990 vintage.
