Chateau Picque Calliou
Chateau Picque Caillou, whose wines were favoured by Napoléon 1st, was designed and constructed in 1780 by celebrated architect Etienne Laclotte.
He converted the castle into his summer folly, enjoying the fineness of the Aquitaine climate.
A hundred fifty years afterwards, in 1949, a Bordeaux trader Etienne Denis aquires Picque Caillou and togehter with his son they are erlarging the vineyard area to present 20 hectares.
Since 1997, the castle is the property of Isabelle and Paulin Calvet.
