Krug
In 1843, Johann-Joseph Krug founded the house of Krug and laid out his winemaking principles with the sole aim of producing Champagne of an exceptional nature.
Simply the King of all Champagnes.
Krug - one of the smallest and greatest producers of Champagne.
All Krug's wines are meticulousely produced, hand-picked Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes are pressed and fermented in oak barrels. The second fermentation on yeast lees lasts at least five years.
The two main wines are Krug Grande Cuvee and the "worshipped" Krug Vintage.
Krug produces a vintage cuvee only in outstanding years when the grapes best reflect the character of the vintage.
